Re: archie17

ok, the good news is that the cd boots and i can run e17 manually, the bad news is it doesn't do it automatically. i have already pm'ed z4ziggy about the issues. they will be fixed. also gonna customize e17 a little bit, can't decide between engage and ibar.

Re: archie17

I´m using engage and ibar.

Engage is for fast changing between apps. Because i like the option of engage, that a scrolling the mousewheel above an icon of a running application. the musepointer jumps to this appliation.

I´m using Ibar with some little icons for exit, resart e17 and reboot and shutdown my computer.

Here´s a little screenshot.
Nice one. Isn´t it? lol

Re: archie17

i forget to mention, that i use the engage module no the stand alone version.
The mousewheelscrolling action is only available for that version

Could be a customised makepkg, it's only a shell script after all.

Re: archie17

if someone wants to take over, maybe Legout that would be great. I don't have enough time to finish the cd and i have lost interest. My trip is less than a week away.

Re: archie17

kin: i can tar up what i have and put it on my site so you can download it and finish it up. You'll need the archie scripts, and you can always post on user-contributions.org if you have problems. ziggy will help.

Re: archie17

i think u can save yourself the trouble if u willing to wait wink i plan on making archie-scripts support e17, as now being done with xfce, using archie-packages.txt (when using the --buildarchie on mkliveiso). the plan is to have different package list (xfce-packages.txt, e17-packages.txt, kde-packages.txt) and automate the --buildarchie to build the appropriate WM iso.
BUT. since i want Skinny Archie to benefit from all this, i decided to 1st work on the Skinny Archie, though its much more work than the e17 add-on... but since the Skinny version has been delayed for too long, i think its about time to finish it wink
