when i run pacman -Syu
and it said:

This is a mere workaround and not an optimal one. Please provide some debug info via pacman --debug.

Arch Linux is more than just GNU/Linux -- it's an adventure
pkill -9 systemd

/dev/sdb3 is looking full... (be back later...)

EDIT:
I ran  `pacman -Scc`
which opened up /dev/sdb3 to 97% and allowed me to install the package.

I'm willing to be educated as to what's going on. I did auto-partition and do not remember setting up a 7.4G partition.  A guess would be its `/var/` but that's just a guess. Any tips? What should I read to learn more or what commands can I run to find out what's mounted to where?
Thanks

Re: I meet the partition too full problem

Give us "df -ih" to see if your inode table is full.

Auto-partition makes a 100MB /boot partition, 7.4 GB / and the remaining goes to /home. So, if you have a lot of programs installed, your / goes full. Resizing your partitions would help

Re: I meet the partition too full problem

I actually fixed this running "arch-chroot /mnt /bin/bash".

Re: I meet the partition too full problem

I fail to see how that would "fix" a full partition, jmromeroes. Also, this topic is over four years old; even if what you suggest was a fix, it's unlikely that the original poster is still searching for a solution.
