Hey guys, been a while.
Anyway, on my MSI gx640 laptop I'm noticing that I can't seem to get a proper battery readout.
First off, there's nothing in /proc/acpi/ except "button", and when I run "acpi -i" I get this:
[crew@arch ~]$ acpi -i
Battery 0: Unknown, 96%
Battery 0: design capacity 7800 mAh, last full capacity 6626 mAh = 84%
Any ideas?
And in the midst of such perfection,
I can't help but feel diseased.

Also, I should note that the capacity only goes down. It seems to know that it's unplugged and some of the battery will drop, but it won't rise again. Been sitting at 96% for a while now. If I unplug for a few minutes it'll go down a couple percent, but no matter how long it's plugged in, it won't go up again.
And in the midst of such perfection,
I can't help but feel diseased.

I'm not an expert but could this be a hardware problem? Charging the battery is completely independent of the OS. Is it just an ACPI report error and the battery actually gets charged or does it fail to charge at all?
