Need to replug the keyboard after X has started

hi all!
i did a fresh install this morning, imported the list of packages from my previous install and a handful of configs to replace the defaults.
everything was working fine until i started X. keyboard/mouse was unresponsive and i had to replug the IR receiver. i really found myself in those days forgetting to add hal to the daemons.

i really can't say which package is to blame. kernel? udev? (udev also fails at shutdown).

dmesg just shows me that the keyboard has been found, no (EE) errrors in Xorg.log!

what else could i check?

best regards.

double post,

there's a bug in hid_logitech, as a dirty fix, i reload the module after logging in (using lxdm): rmmod hid_logitech && modprobe hid_logitech
