Can Only Play Videos Properly without Freezing in Parole

I play a lot of videos through my laptop to my tv and although I really like totem lately videos freeze 2 to 3 times a minute. Same thing with mplayer2 (frontends smplayer, gnome-mplayer) and the worst is VLC. I have all my partitions now as BTRFS. This is the only big change I can think of next to the new xorg. Parole plays the files flawlessly no hiccups, stutters etc. Parole is great but it lacks features such as disabling subtitles, changing audio stream,  FN hotkey support etc. which is why I like Totem. My laptop is Gateway NV79C Series, onboard intel graphics. Playing the videos on my screen and through to the tv makes no difference. What makes my unsure if it is a video card problem is that I can play youtube videos in 720p without any problems using adobel flash  Any help is much appreciated. I mainly play x264 MKVs. I use gstreamer backend for both parole and totem.

Here is the output of playing a video in VLC
