How do I use Promethean ActivDriver?

Hi all, I installed activdriver from the aur and it seemed to install fine, however now when i plug the promethean activboard in nothing happns and i can't see any way to interact with activdriver.

is there something i'm missing here?

Modprobe the driver.

is it optimistic to think that i would need to

modprobe activdriver

to achieve that?

would i need to add it to my modules array in rc.conf?
