I switched to pgp.mit.edu when I updated to pacman 4 because the default wasn't responding properly. However pgp.mit.edu doesn't seem to have all the keys the other one has. (Aren't the keyservers supposed to synch with eachother?)
So, is it possible to set multiple keyservers for pacman? One primary and others as backup if the primary one isn't responding or doesn't have the key.

Here is what I switched to when I was having the same problem, this afternoon: hkp://pool.sks-keyservers.net . This gives a random server from a large set. I found it by surfing to keys.gnupg.net . Which I don't even know why I was doing.

Have you guys actually read the original question? Noone cares which keyserver you use...

The answer is no: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/26487
EDIT: FYI, gpg servers usually sync with each other, so MIT should have all keys since it's a major one. What key is missing?

Arch Linux is more than just GNU/Linux -- it's an adventure

I was about to start a similar topic. I believe mit's key server was down today. It could not be reached for updates, nor would it respond to ping. I retried several times before changing the server in gpg.conf.
It would be great if gpg.conf could have more than one server (like pacman's mirrorlist), so if one did not respond it would move on to the next.

Thanks. The missing key belongs to the packager of pixman, Jan de Groot. Last time there was a pixman update I deactivated the signature check for just that update. This time I decided to try the default keyserver and was a bit surprised it actually worked.
