CD drive not working, errors mid-burn.

I have not been able to burn CD's. Here are the outputs of various commands

(2:505)$ cdrecord -scanbus
wodim: No such file or directory.
Cannot open SCSI driver!
For possible targets try 'wodim --devices' or 'wodim -scanbus'.
For possible transport specifiers try 'wodim dev=help'.
For IDE/ATAPI devices configuration, see the file README.ATAPI.setup from
the wodim documentation.

Re: CD drive not working, errors mid-burn.

Do you get any errors posted in "dmesg" from the kernel with respect to that drive?

Re: CD drive not working, errors mid-burn.

If you search for "sr0" in your dmesg you will see quite a number of errors. I have only ever noted such errors when there is a hardware fault with the optical drive.
