tdfxfb can't reserve smem ["fixed" in 3.2.6.2]

Since 12 Feb 2012 the 3.2.5-1-ARCH kernel on my i686 system with a Voodoo3 video card issues the error: kernel: [    7.389781] tdfxfb: Can't reserve smem.  On that date the pacman.log shows:

This looks like a change in the way udev handles framebuffer memory, if I'm not way off-base.  What is smem?  Is the fact that smem cannot be reserved by the tdfxfb module due to it no longer being blacklisted by default?  If so, where do I blacklist it?

Thanks for your reply.  I see the 3.2.6.2 kernel will remove tdfxfb.  I guess that's one way to deal with this.

After modifying the kernel framebuffer API (kernel 2.4 to 2.6), damn hit series cards support for Voodoo. So far, nobody has fixed it. Therefore, it does not work correctly  mplayer with tdfxfb, DirectFB, etc.

Look in this mplayer patch.
