Hi,
I am getting inter-dependency error while upgrading. Could you please tell me how to solve the problem.

Hi jasonwryan!
Of course you are right, it's always best to search before asking.
However i also think that when posting an answer that recommends searching it should also contain links to the threads where the question is handeled.
This post was the first one i foung when searching for the string "error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: gcc: requires gcc-libs=4.6.2-6" in Google, posting links to the theads you mentioned would me most helpful.
Thanks

That would just encourage more help vampirism... Once an issue like this has come up two or three times, my view is any subsequent duplicate threads should be closed and deleted.
Arch is clearly branded as a distro for people who are either competent or demonstrate a wilingness to help themselves. Spoonfeeding is in no-one's interests.

Thanks. Will keep in mind from next time.

That's how I just got here too. Upgrading pacman alone with a simple `pacman -Sy pacman' fixed the issue for me.
