Mouse does not work anymore

Recently, any mouse I plug into my laptop doesn't work. My built-in touch pad works just fine. I've tried searching the internet and these forums and can't find anyone with a similar issue. When I insert a USB mouse (I have tried several), /var/log/messages.log shows:

Feb 15 17:37:26 localhost kernel: [  745.039968] ehci_hcd 0000:00:13.5: BAR 0: set to [mem 0xffa80000-0xffa800ff] (PCI address [0xffa80000-0xffa800ff])
Feb 15 17:37:26 localhost kernel: [  745.042023] ehci_hcd 0000:00:13.5: PCI INT D -> GSI 20 (level, low) -> IRQ 20
Feb 15 17:37:28 localhost kernel: [  747.236633] ehci_hcd 0000:00:13.5: PCI INT D disabled

I don't know what other information would be helpful, please let me know if you need anything else to help me solve this annoying problem.

Re: Mouse does not work anymore

I wonder if the usb port is failing. Can you plug a usb keyboard in and have it work? Does a usb stick work?

You're just jealous because the voices only talk to me.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that. I did try it in the other three USB ports, and no difference. The mouse works when I boot into Windows. I have tried USB flash drives, and they work just fine.
