Any ideas why this is happening?

Also the wiki entry about the package called Fish says, "The XSel command, written and copyrighted by Conrad Parker, is distributed together with, and used by fish. It is released under the MIT license."  But I do not thing that is correct given:

# pacman -Ql fish | grep "bin/xsel" | wc -l
0

So what does that mean?

Thank you, how obvious.  </sarcasm>

That did the trick.

EDIT: The "Thank you" was not a lie.

I'm going to assume that your sarcasm does not include the thanks to someone who helped you out...
