Tablets and Tilers

I read this thread with people comparing the Windows 8 Metro interface to tiling WMs in several posts. I just recently started using tilers and really love it so far. Don't see myself going back to normal stacking WMs any time soon. But my question was, am I just delusional or am I the only one who doesn't see much similarity between tilers and the new tablet-style UIs? They both seem to operate under completely different paradigms.

Re: Tablets and Tilers

I read a little of the thread. I do not see a similarity between Metro's UI and a tilling WM.

If anything Metro reminds me of Gnome 3.

Thanks for the response. Right, if anything in my opinion tilers are the antithesis of tablet style UI. The only thing I could think is that they came to that conclusion through a lack of experience with both UI types. Well at least one person agrees with me at the very least.
