[KDE] UPnP Support

Hi,

I'm looking for a while for Amarok UPnP support. Amarok now support UPnP Collection but need UPnP support in KDE itself.

According to this post : http://www.devheads.net/desktop/kde/cor … slaves.htm
KDE have to be compiled with libhupnp (enabling the Solid UPnP backend) to fully support UPnP. I have created on AUR kio-upnp-ms package & herqq-svn-r55 package to enable this support but obviously some troubles are dues to the missing libupnp library during kdelibs compilation (or something like that).

Can mainteners please consider changing kdelibs package ?

+1

Hi, it would be really great, to enable UPnP support in KDE, or is it already done?

Re: [KDE] UPnP Support

There has been no activity here... So the kio-upnp-ms doesn't seem to work now. When I try it in dolphin it immediately crashes.
When I try the git version it doesn't crash but it doesn't seem to do anything either.

So... can we get a status update from somebody who knows how this is supposed to work?

Re: [KDE] UPnP Support

Any news in this regard? I'm also looking to use the UPnP feature with my Streamium device.

Re: [KDE] UPnP Support

After installing cagibi, amarok finds my UPnP and tells me Counting... But it seems, like it will take forever.
I have installed the kio-upnp-ms-git version

Edit: Amarok crashes sometimes when I try to play a song from my local collection
