I am missing a virtualdub - like tool for Linux that would support files in avi form, having DivX, XviD, mjpeg video in it. Cinelerra seems OK, but did not work with video I captured with my digital camera to an mjpeg avi file.
I would be greatful if anyone would know how to make avi format supported in cinelerra or is there any other software that would support:
- cutting
- joining
- adding/removing sound
mplayer seems have a nice set of command line options but does it support cutting/joining?

Have you tried LiVES yet? You can get the PKGBUILD from AUR.
Just your basic anime otaku some might even call nijikon.
