the package alsa-driver already exists in main repos, and secondly, the latest alsa driver available is 1.0.9b, not 1.0.9.

I just got this error. The cause, strangely enough, was due to me not putting a comment in the Comment field.

That doesn't really solve the problem.
The reason that I'm posting the package is that if you're unlucky to have bought a Dell with the SoundBlaster cards you have to download and compile the packages yourself. I found that out when I did some research on the boards. That's why it says dell on the package name.
I will try playing with the comment field.

This is what I get:
Package URL is missing a protocol (ie. http:// ,ftp://)
There is a bug that causes real error message being overwritten with that URL error message. A fix for this bug has already been commited to the AUR code and will take effect in the next release of AUR.
If you want to know what's wrong with your PKGBUILD, please mail me the tarball you are trying to submit and I will look into it.

We've solved this. It wasn't a bug, just a small misunderstanding.
