Pacman 4: slow / unresponsive OpenPGP keyservers

After updating to Pacman 4, the default OpenPGP keyserver (as specified in /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/gpg.conf), keys.gnupg.net, would usually not respond soon enough (default timeout is 10 seconds), so I kept having to try again and again to import keys, like this:

etc etc. Eventually I changed the configuration file to point to pgp.mit.edu instead, and I had no problems with that one.

What are some other OpenPGP public keyserver mirrors to use?

Re: Pacman 4: slow / unresponsive OpenPGP keyservers

I've had problems with pgp.mit.edu as well at times (I leave it and try another time, and it works).
Would use one of the server pools listed at wikipedia reduce the likelihood of that?

I personally use the EU pool of sks-keyservers (eu.pool.sks-keyservers.net), and haven't really had any issues with it so far.

Thanks, I'll try that one. smile
