[SOLVED] Changing the terminal color map in the framebuffer

I recently started looking more into using the framebuffer, and i successfully installed tmux, mpc+ncmpcpp, changed resolution to 1600x1050 and so on, and i'm starting to love using the framebuffer (maybe it's time to switch to awm?). I had some issues with a few things but managed to solve them all on my own, but there's one thing i can't seem to fix, and that's the terminal color map. The terminal color map displays fine inside openbox, but not in the framebuffer. I use .Xdefaults and not .bashrc for the color map. Maybe that's the issue? Logic suggests .Xdefaults require X to be running so maybe that's my issue? Do i need to use .bashrc instead? and if so, is there an easy way to convert an .Xdefaults color map into a .bashrc color map? and would this work?
Many questions, but bottom line is, i want to change the colors in the framebuffer.
