Folks,
I've downloaded the latest ISO's for archlinux-2012.03.02_04-00-01-core-i686.iso and archlinux-2012.02.28_04-00-01-core-i686.iso
and burned them to CDRW's. When I boot the CDRW's to the root prompt, and try to run:
/arch/setup
I get the following error:
ERROR: $5 is set to PROCEDURE ? we don't use $5, maybe you still need to update your code to the new api (all debug catagories in $4)
This happens on both CDR's. I've VERIFIED the MD5SUM of the 03-02-2012 File and it is correct.
Are there problems with the ISO's?
Thanks.
Larry

Have you tried disabling UEFI, AHCI?
More likely that it is something to to do with your hardware config. Have you tried 'Net-install'?. You will have the latest packages while installing itself

I got this today too, wanted to use a snapshot since the newest release is from august, and I've run into issues when a newer pacman has come out, even using the net install. i'll try a few things to get it to work but i think i'm out of cd-rs

if you run
aif -p interactive
it works, but won't let you choose a source, so best not to proceed with the other options, since you won't be able to select packages if you can't select a source. i can't remember the error it gives, but aif crashes every time you try to select a source. i found a blank disc so i'm just going to try and make the official net release work.

you can try archboot.iso.https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=121338

Using the latest release of the netinstall worked fine, except I always pick a slow mirror I even installed via my wireless connection.

I had the same problem with the iso image snapshot 03-03-12 I then downloaded 19-02-12 and it was fine. I am assuming that there is a problem with the 03-03-12 one.

Then you should report it: http://www.archlinux.org/releng/feedback/
Both successful and failed results are encouraged and welcome.
I have made a personal commitment not to reply in topics that start with a lowercase letter. Proper grammar and punctuation is a sign of respect, and if you do not show any, you will NOT receive any help (at least not from me).

The problem is in all releases after 2012.02.26, or maybe a bit later as I quit testing as
of the 26th, and continues through 2012.03.06
Problem should be fixed for ISO's later than 2012.03.06_14-30-01 according to:
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/28774
https://bugs.archlinux.org/
