[SOLVED] Setting up printer and printing from applications

I just read the Wiki article on CUPS and printers, and I installed "hplip", "cups", "ghostscript", "gsfonts" and "hpoj".

After that, I blacklisted usblp, and disconnected and reconnected my printer USB cable. On dmesg I saw the following:

[13122.132812] usb 2-3: USB disconnect, device number 4
[13122.133703] usblp0: removed
[13131.802116] usb 2-3: new high-speed USB device number 5 using ehci_hcd
[13131.928827] usblp0: USB Bidirectional printer dev 5 if 1 alt 0 proto 2 vid 0x03F0 pid 0x2504

I opened Gedit and tried to "Print", but my printer is not showing up there.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Have you tried locating and adding your printer via the cups web interface?
