It's my first post here. UNIX (BSD) and GNU/Linux systems both know I excelent since 15 years now. Since my friend showed me Arch, it's only system I use everyday (not counting XP on VBox, games and Autodesk's software on native Win7x64 and native OSX Snow Leopard). KISS is for me a great advantage of this particular distro. Simplyty of Pacman and Yaourt. But the problem I'm facing to is that I instaled compiz-core from sources (for MATE compatibility) and I'm not intrested in changing it for the one from repo. But stupid Pacman wishes to install it (for it is not installed) as dependency of emerald.
The answer may be stupid and simple (Keep It Simple, Stupid), but I'm tired of finding it myself (please don't send me back to "man pacman" - already readed - no working answer found).
So maybe someone's faced the same issue and could be so kind to give me the answer?
With regards form Poland, from a happy Arch Linux Administrator.

Why haven't you created a PKGBUILD for your build of compiz-core? Do it, build with makepkg, install with pacman.
