[SOLVED] - bricked my desktop using flashrom

Hi,

I just bricked my desktop trying to upgrade the BIOS using flashrom. I was trying to update from 1.10 to 2.10.

Fortunately I can take the flash chip out and a friend has a r0cket.

Problem:
I need a programme in C to read from an SD-card and write to the SPI-bus - is there such a beast in free circulation? Not being a coder makes me the worst possible person to look for such info.

PS.: If this is in the wrong section please move...

EDIT:

googled "bios service", am getting a freshly installed BIOS on the right chip in the post tomorrow - phew! Spending a little more money on a decent mobo is REALLY worth it...
