Mediatomb, dts to ac3 on the fly?

Hi all,
to make a long story short, is there any possibility to decode dts to ac3 on the fly? i used to extract the audio stream from the mkv container first, encode it to ac3 and then join with the video back into the container. but this is way too much work!

best regards!

Would be another Mediaserver an option?
Fuppes or if you have gnome installed Rygel are good alternatives.
Those 2 do much better of a job transcoding as per my observation.
