[Solved] Macbook Air 3.1 Install /dev/sda* doesn't exist.

Hello,

Here's the issue I want to share with you.

I followed https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/MacBook steps to install.

When booting normal mode, I got this error after 10 seconds :

Root device '/dev/sda3' doesn't exist. Attempting to create it.
ERROR: Unable to determine major/minor number of root device '/dev/sda3'

When booting fallback mode, everything goes well.

I can even manually mount sda3 manually from there.

So I guess the issue is located in the mkinitcpio.conf and I'm definitely missing a MODULES in normal mode.

I already tried this : https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=132526 and

But it didn't worked.

Do you have any clue of what I could have missed ?

Thank you.

[EDIT I finally found the missing module, which was ata_generic, my problem is solved]

You should read grub article in arche wiki. There is not only /dev/sda* but also hd(*,*) that you need to check.
