How to duplicate Arch installation on SD card

After pacman update (including linux-headers) I am getting"Error 16: Inconsistent filesystem structure" and cannot find any way to fix it.

I had Arch installed on a 4gb SD memory chip and have had no problems so far.

I want to backup current installation, low-level format the SD and return it if fsck after that is ok (otherwise I'll buy a new SD).

Please can you advice me how I can do this since I don't want to start all over again. Some kind of hard-copy to hard drive, format SD and then hard-copy again? Or could I do a new fresh installation on SD and the replace the old folders (/etc, /var, /lib   etc...) ?

Be gentle with me, I'm trying to learn here!

Re: How to duplicate Arch installation on SD card

you could copy the partition/drive arch is on to another partition/drive then chroot into it to load mbr
that sounds easy if you understand the lingo
if not then you have a date with wiki

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Chroot

Re: How to duplicate Arch installation on SD card

isn't it easier then to boot from live USB and chroot from there?
