I'm currently running two monitors using the nvidia TwinView (is this nVidia specific? Doesn't matter I guess...)
Anyways, my problem is this: I want to run a fullscreen application in one monitor (say, a movie or game), and in the other use windowed applications. Of course, whenever I full screen a program, it immediately goes windowed when I click on the other monitor (as you'd expect).
Now, I've tried, in the nvidia-settings application, to set the two monitors to "separate X sessions", but that didn't work at all - one monitor came up fine after X restart, but the other was blank, and when I moved my mouse over it just turned into an "X" cursor and I couldn't really do anything.
Is there any way I can get this to work properly?
Thanks in advanced! ![]()

I think this has more to do with your WM than the NVIDIA settings. Whats your WM?

I'm simply running Openbox, no DE.

Nobody's got a solution for me...? Some hack/workaround?

Have you looked into this at all: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Op … head_users
I don't use OpenBox myself, and thus don't experience this problem with my dual-head setup.
