How do we celebrate?
By bringing the whole wiki up to date? Donations drive? Or maybe by bringing the whole wiki up to date? ;P

Donations drive sounds like a great idea to me. This anniversary could mark a good opportunity for those of us who feel like they haven't contributed enough to this excellent project to say "thank you" for once and to give the devs some compensation for 10 years of hard work and ensure the financial backup of our favorite operation system. I'd gladly donate some money, however, there should be a way for people without a credit card to participate.

Re: 10 years of Arch Linux - how do we celebrate?

Happy birthday, Arch developers, TU and community in general. Thank you for the clean, simple, old-fashioned (in the good way) distribution that Arch is, without the “flavours” and all that sillyness modern distributions are all about.

Re: 10 years of Arch Linux - how do we celebrate?

Happy birthday, Arch!

You've been powering my servers and workstations for over ten years, longer than any other operating system (even you, DOS).  Sometimes you break, but when you do, I can always figure out how to fix you, and I often accidentally learn something new along the way.  You are a hacker's delight, and I still enjoy the feeling of a fresh install, a clean Bash prompt staring me in the face, waiting for my first pacman incarnation.  In fact, I think I may go try to install Arch on my refrigerator right now.

Cheers to another ten years.

Thanks apeiro for starting such a great project. Thanks to the devs, TUs and the rest of the community for making it great. Happy birthday Arch!

For those of you that don't know, and I'm sure that there are plenty now, apeiro is the one that started this crazy distro.

It's good to see you posting here again apeiro. I bet you never would have guessed that Arch would become one of the premier Linux distros. It's still very, very cool. I'm glad that you had that itch.

Happy Birthday Arch!
