I use fluxbox, with lxappearance on top to get gtk themes, but when I run applications with sudo (example: sudo gedit /etc/rc.conf) the gtk theme doesn't take effect.
Do I need to login as root and set themes soo, that when I run things with sudo, they get the gtk themes applied?

Yes, or you can probably symlink the gtkrc in the home directory of your regular user from /root too.

I had to login as root in fluxbox, and I set the themes and icons with lxappearance and gnome-tweak-tool. And it worked.
Thanks for the help
