Arch Linux is getting more popular each day. I thought is kind of cool to post it here. Of course it would be nice to have live traffic graphs and some sort of stats on this website.
http://archlinux.org.visualizetraffic.com/
1 in every 25,739 internet users visit Archlinux.org daily. Archlinux.org gets 64,753 internet visitors per day, now imagine that they would all come together.

Spaladium Arena is a new multi-purpose sports and entertainment arena located in Split. The 10,000 seat venue can be configured to seat anywhere from 1,246 people to 12,339.
If these 64,753 daily visitors stand hand in hand and form one long straight line, it would be 73 kilometers long.
moderator edit: That picture is too large. I've removed it. Please read https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Forum_Etiquette. Thanks.

How does e.g. http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/archlinux.org work?

Alexa relies on search statistics and people using the Alexa toolbar, IIRC.

Where does this data come from?
We pull in various variables about every website we visualize, then combine that data and come up with an estimate. Of course this number is not always correct, but it usually does come close.
;P
@Barrucadu
Ah, yes, makes sense.

Fun thing this, and i just had to check my server/dns: http://prep.mine.nu.visualizetraffic.com/
But ahem, i think it either just pulls numbers out of it's behind
- or it counted the whole .mine domain

All stats collected from Google Analytics, if you use that they share it

We don't. And how is "We pull in various variables about every website we visualize" any explanation? That just means they made it up mostly. :-)

This tends to come to mind

Joking aside, our forum displays how many people are using it at the given moment and currently it shows
Registered users online: 38
Guests online: 210
Even if the wiki is much more popular, 64k unique visitors seems a bit off. If on the other hand these numbers are accurate, I'd request that at least 1 in a 1000 of these visitors to help with keeping the wiki updated ;P

Actually they are about right, at least for my website

Though i __seriously__ doubt that my page has more visitors then archlinux.org,
I also find it odd were they are pulling the actual numbers from, was my point before aswell.

Why is it so hard to believe ? Arch Linux is very famous by now, and many people from all over the world using it. But of course, arch website owners could test this theory them selfs by installing StatCounter and Google Analytics. Just make sure you also use <noscript> tags and XHTL/IMG version too.

Well, i don't want to nag about reading and such, but i think you skipped something here
"Though i __seriously__ doubt that _my_ webpage- "" - <-- here
Re-read the rest of my post if context is missing
Since, as i checked in the previous post, i got more visitors according to the site, then archlinux does
- And hence, i wondered if the test was broken, or it counted the whole domain (not just _my_ page)

Yeah, the only way to know for sure is for arch webmaster to install analytics or statcounter to and collect stats for about a month.
