[Heroes Of Newerth]Brightness doesn't work

Hi,
I play HoN very often but I discovered something very strange. When I try to adjust the brightness in this game, it just doesn't work.
Moving the slider from "0" to "200" does absolutely nothing. The strange thing is when I adjust this property in Chakra Linux, it works like a charm...

I have a Nvidia GTX460 with 295.20-3 driver but I remember trying with many versions before and it was the same. I have a short file in "/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d" with some options included.

I looked the xorg.conf on Chakra Linux which is deprecated on Archlinux, but I didn't see anything helpful. That's why I ask you help.
I saw some vids or posts on forums about this behavior on Ubuntu for example. So, I need your help.

I have the same problem, no idea how to solve it... I suspect it is HoN's fault... I just turn up my monitor's brightness
