Open Sound System (how to start)

Hi, can anyone help me with OSS sound service?

Ive tryd and configure oss with the ArchWiki.

http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Open_Sound_System

For playing more then one sound at the same time im using the 4Front Virtual mixer.

My problem is that now its configured as described in the wiki, i do have sound. But just for one application at the time. If i start oss as root with the "soundon" command in a consule I can play more applications at the same time. To try and fix this I just added

#
# Starts oss sound system
#

/usr/lib/oss/bin/soundon

in /etc/rc.conf
It works now, but while booting/shutting down i get a few warnings that oss is already running. So does anyone know a better way to start OSS?

Whenever you are asked if you can do a job, tell 'em, 'Certainly I can!' Then get busy and find out how to do it.
