standalone taskbar / systray

Hi I'm searching for a standalone taskbar / systray, because I don't want to run any panel, but would like to see at least minimized windows.
functionality like rox's iconfied-windows-on-dekstop would be cool.
I hope anyone knows a solution.

Re: standalone taskbar / systray

I'm a bit confused by the "taskbar / systray but not a panel" part - what do the panels do that you can't use? pypanel, perlpanel, etc - they all work as taskbars+systrays

Re: standalone taskbar / systray

I agree with phrakture, I used fbpanel and I use the menu, systembar, systray, and clock, but I could have easily removed the clock on menu. Just play witht eh config menu.

Re: standalone taskbar / systray

Here's a quick-and-easy solution, cmp - install xfce4, and disable the panel. The xfce taskbar does minimised windows and has an option for the systray.
