Pure FVWM is indeed lovely.  Your taskbar - does it expand the icons when you hover the mouse over em? Like the apple dockbar?

And how did you get your minimized window images to NOT have the window title on the bottom? I almost gave up.

One again, beautiful :-)

Yes it does.. you can see the ipod icon (for gmpc) comes out of the taskbar in the screenshot. It's just a simple MouseOver thing though, no animation or other effects.

If you're using some variation of taviso's thumbnails, you just have to comment out these lines:

#Colorset 12 fg white, bg black, fgsh black, RootTransparent
#Style * IconTitle, IconTitleColorset 12, HilightIconTitleColorset 12, IconTitleRelief 0
#Style * IconFont "SE:xft:sans:pixelsize=10:minspace=True", IndexedIconName, IconBackgroundPadding 0
#Style * IconBackgroundRelief 0, IconBackGroundColorset 12

Really very nice, can u tell how u get the expanded icons?
I´m using fvwm myself, so is there a option for FvwmButtons for this behaviour?

Yup.. it's just something like:

DestroyModuleConfig FvwmDock: *
*FvwmDock: BoxSize fixed
*FvwmDock: Colorset 30
*FvwmDock: Rows 5
*FvwmDock: Columns 46
*FvwmDock: Geometry 1024x50+0-0
*FvwmDock: Padding 0 0
*FvwmDock: Frame 0
*FvwmDock: (2x5, ActionOnPress, Icon icons/home24b.png,ActiveIcon icons/home48.png, Action(Mouse 1) `exec exec nautilus`)
*FvwmDock: (2x5, ActionOnPress, Icon icons/terminal24b.png, ActiveIcon icons/terminal48.png, Action(Mouse 1) `exec exec rxvt`)
etc

So I'm just replacing 24x24 icons with 48x48 icons.

Actually I made that to show the 88-color terms capabilities but it might fit here.

right side is a transparent vertical kicker, the clock at the bottom and the way the text fades in the taskbar kinda give it away.
the title bar is the plastik theme, help button is a strong hint, the icons are from one of the themes that is standard in KDE-base, and he's using konqueror (which isn't really proof just good conjecture)

Yeah, basically the taskbar/panel and the konqueror icon - I was laughing cos I know you hate big DEs, rather than because you "couldn't" tell
