MCS7780 IrDA controller

Hi there,

I have a IrDA receiver with a MCS7780 chip, which doesn't work on all my Arch computers.

I've installed lirc, started it and loaded the kernel module with 'modprobe mcs7780'. The controller doesn't seem to work, because irw don't give any output.

Does someone have an idea what I could do to get that controller working?

I've the same IRDA adapter, and I can not use it on Linux.
Did you find a way ?!

Hi,

no, I didn't.

IMHO IrDA and remote controls are completely different and incompatible. I bought a new one.
