I wrote a daemon that will symlink your monitorix databases to tmpfs and keep them sync'ed using rsync. This is very nice way to avoid excessive disk I/O since monitorix collects readings once per minute.
Feedback is welcomed.
EDIT: 22-Sep-2012
I have discontinued supporting this deamon since its functionality is covered under its bigger brother, anything-sync-daemon. Supporting three sync-daemons was getting to be a hassle.
Plz enjoy anything-sync-daemon for this purpose:

does it make monitorix-tmpfs needless? or should i also install the daemon?

Yeah, monitorix-tmpfs is now depreciated. I posted to aur-general to have it removed. Just build/install monitorix-sync-daemon and pacman will tell you it must first remove the old package. Enjoy!

@graysky, love your work as always
Good job

I am seriously considering killing this project since it has been made redundant by anything-sync-daemon. I do not want to maintain two.

OK gang. Officially discontinued this project. Plz use anything-sync-daemon instead.

I deleted the source from github and emailed AUR-general to remove PKG from the AUR.
