Problems mounting external USB NTFS hard drives
I'm running Arch 64 bits with XFCE and no display manager (currently using bash_profile method for starting XFCE). When I plugin a HD formated in NTFS, XFCE doesn't show it as a drive (it does not show the drive icon). I can manually mount it as root, though. However, I would like that XFCE shows the icon in Thunar at least, even if it doesn't mount it automatically.
I have Console Kit installed, and Policy Kit. Since I'm using udiskie,I created the 10-udiskie.pkla as described in the Wiki.
Thunar-Volman is installed and configured. I installed gvfs and gvfs-afc. NTFS-3g is installed.
I'm stuck here. What am I missing?

Is the problem just with NTFS, or do drives with other filesystems exhibit the same behaviour?

The problem is just with NTFS USB external drives. Other internal drives work perfectly well, including an internal NTFS partition.

Seems like it. Maybe udiskie is not properly detecting the drive?
Although I'm using udiskie, should I use udev rules for NTFS USB drives?
