[Solved] Boot up Problem

Hi, I am getting a message during boot of a file system problem but it flies by too fast. which log would carry that. I looked in dmesg and boot and couldn't find the same message.

Try checking /var/log/messages.log

Or /var/log/boot if it's an initscripts error.

Thanks for the post, I checked messages.log and nothing and I had already checked /var/log/boot and nothing there. Anyone else have an idea The message I see has fsck and a partition by what could be UID listing. There has to be a place this is logged. if there is a problem I would like to head it off.

OK well that did it, I appreciate your help, turns out that the messages were benign and extra info from the boot up process, that did not show before.

You can set a log level on your kernel line to manage how verbose that scroll through is, eg: loglevel=3
