Howdy-ha, all. Forgive me if this has been addressed and solved before, but neither Google nor the forum search feature have helped me out. Starting just this morning, I began receiving the following error from pacman:
warning: config file /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist, line 4: directive 'Server' in section 'options' not recognized. This even with a brand-spanking-new mirrolist generated from the Arch website today, so I don't see how this could actually be a problem with the mirrorlist file at all (not to mention that /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist doesn't have an "options" section). Even stranger, I reverted to a partition snapshot from three days ago and found the problem cropping up before I updated the system--in fact, running pacman -Syu displayed the error--but don't rememeber seeing it before today. What's the deal? Thanks in advance for any replies and help.

Did you perhaps forget to remove the comment before the section headings in /etc/pacman.conf

That's precisely what happened, only with [community] while I was adding a local repo. I must have hit the wrong key combo and stuck a '#' in it. Score one for PEBCAK.
Thanks, skunktrader.
