[SOLVED]Can't mount ext3 partition

I just did pacman -Syu (after new core install), then pacman -S filesystem --force to rid the /etc/mtab problem.
Now, when I try to mount my Salix partition, I get this:
# mount -t ext3 /dev/sda8 /mnt
mount: unknown filesystem type 'ext3'

I am using ext4 with arch and I was able to mount the sda8 partition before doing the previous commands.
How do I fix this?
Thanks
m

If you just updated, you might have installed a new kernel. Reboot.

Thanks falconindy. I just did that to see what would happen and it is fixed.
