Can't upgrade anything in my system.

Started off this problem with a normal system update. Was notified pacman should be updated first, went to update it:

 core is up to date

So, I went to search if it was just a mirror conflict or something. Turns out package query is an AUR package. No problem right, just remove it and reinstall later right?

yaourt -R package-query
checking dependencies...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: yaourt: requires package-query>=0.7

Alright, lets install both at once:

yaourt -S yaourt package-query

x PKGBUILD

I'm kind of stuck now. Do I remove both yaourt and package query? I just don't want to have to spend a whole bunch of time unnecessarily fixing things. I just want to be able to bring my system completely up-to date and at the end of it retain the packages I have.

Some package infos:

Re: Can't upgrade anything in my system.

There are quite alot of threads which handle/explain this issue. The search button is your friend.

But bottomline, remove yaourt, update pacman, reinstall.

Obviously I didn't search hard enough. That's what I was thinking I had to do anyways. Thanks.

If any of the fixed fixes worked, please remember to mark the thread as solved.
