DeaDBeef not streaming any more

Hi all,

My favourite player, DeaDBeef, does not catch any streams any more since last full system upgrade. Searches did not return any relevant clues. Any hints on what to do?

- it still can play local files
- downgrading to previous version of the player does not help
- my platform is eeePc
- kernel is conservatively fixed on version 3.0-ARCH for now since a scary kernel upgrade that was'nt booting (3.1.x ?)
- other players (vlc, mplayer, ...) are not affected

FYI, I tried out the statically linked version available on upstream website, with SUCCESS.

This demonstrates what I was suspecting: that upstream is'nt the culprit at all, rather some library since my last system upgrade.

Would be interesting to know which one...

try to run deadbeef in console, and check if any plugins fail to load.
