Plex Media Server from AUR

Hey there,

I would like to use the Plex Media Server on my Arch Linux machine. Its on 64 bit, and it looks like the PMS from AUR (plexmediaserver 0.9.5.3.309-2) uses an amd64 deb package as source. But anyway, it depends on a lot of multilib packages. Is there a way to avoid these libs? Why there is a need for 32 bit libraries if the PMS was build for 64 bit? Any idea?

I don't know about all the dependencies (don't use Plex myself); but just wanted to point out that there's also the git version available in the AUR.

Thanks for your reply, but this is the media center - the client version. As far as I know, the server part is closed source, so no git version

You're talking about cascading dependencies. One of plexmediaserver's dependencies probably needs 32 bit compatibility libraries; but plex in itself does not, according to its AUR page. Looks to me like it's awfully slim on dependencies though.
