Shotwell appears to be having problems interpreting its own svg icons. Here is the
diagnostic it emits before dumping core:
swallow:~$ shotwell
** Message: GConfEngine.vala:188: Error loading or parsing gsettings convert keyfile: Valid key file could not be found in search dirs
** (process:28609): DEBUG: GConfEngine.vala:191: Converting GConf settings to gsettings...
** Message: GConfEngine.vala:201: Error 133 running gsettings-data-convert: stdout="" stderr="
GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Settings schema 'org.yorba.shotwell.sharing.facebook' does not contain a key named 'session-key'
"
** (process:28609): DEBUG: GConfEngine.vala:205: GConf to gsettings conversion completed
** ERROR **: Resources.vala:808: Couldn't recognize the image file format for file '/usr/share/shotwell/icons/crop.svg'
Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)
Do we have some kind of version skew here?

I had the same problem. Try reinstalling librsvg.

Is your system up to date? I have no problems running shotwell on my 32-bit Arch.

Reinstalling librsvg worked -- thanks!

Just hit this problem, and fixed by installing librsvg.
