Evolve mars DVB-T dongle is not recognized in Arch
Despite of positive experience with this dongle in Debian and SuSe, it fails to be functional in my Archlinux boxes. Following Debian user's notes, I have installed firmware from AUR (visible in firmware directory) and modprobed smsdvb driver (shown by lsmod but not used by any other module). The system does not recognize this dongle by dmesg.
I intuitively suspect possible module hierarchy in modprobing (smsmdtv use smsdvb, ehci_hcd is modprobed but not used). As everything, firmware from AUR can be buggy. I feel weak in diagnostics - is there any experience with this Evolve Mars / MediaTech MT4163 dongle? Thank you for kicking me the right way.
