Re: zathura - a document viewer

Thanks mlq!

Is there a discrete (non-continuous) view at all?

Re: zathura - a document viewer

Hello,

We need your help translating zathura

As you all know zathura has multi-language support since version 0.1.1, but at the moment we are only capable of providing
additional german language files. So we need your help to get our projects translated into other languages.

If you are interested, you can find all necessary information here.

Thanks for your help!

Re: zathura - a document viewer

Good day,

first of all, let me thank you for this great peace of software.

I also appreciated the new version a lot, I don't have any space between pages, that's great!

However there are some things in the new version that do not work as well as before,
for instance, when I press <tab> to see the table of contents, and then I press <tab> or <esc>, I return to the first page.

Someone already mentioned that if you close zathura by clicking on the window's manager "close" button, it will not save your current position in the document and when you open it again you will be placed on the first page. I have this problem as well.

Is there any solution for these problems?

Thanks and best regards,

Alexandre.

EDIT:

There is also another thing, when I open a document, I'm, said, at the 50th page. When I press "s" button (to make the document full screen), I am transferred to the 20th page. When I press "a", I'm back to the 50th page. What do you think?

Re: zathura - a document viewer

Hi, Mironor
As far as I know, these bugs are already known. And I guess they will be fixed soon in next releases.

Re: zathura - a document viewer

Hi all..

It has been a week since zathura has been flagged out of date. I'm still seeing only the old version in the package list.

I don't see the new version in testing either.

Just curious... What happens when somebody raises an 'out-of-date' flag in Arch?

How long does it take to enter the official repo?

Thanks!

Hi,

I would like to help in translating zathura to Tamil (India).

I have requested for Tamil translation in Transifex. I'm not sure of the next steps.

Please guide me in this. Thanks!

The maintainer will probably get notified; so if you have any questions you should get in contact with him.

Click on the language site. Click on one of the resources and a pop up will appear.
Then you click on "Translate now" and you are good to go.

Thanks for your help!

Re: zathura - a document viewer

After a massive update, zathura in community doesn't work for me like it used to.  In particular, the "a" and "s" no longer maximise or center the pages!  Also, I cannot zoom out (EDIT: with the minus sign.  Control and the mouse wheel still work).  What gives?  Is this some mis-configuration on my part?  I thought maybe my xdpyinfo's resolution was off, but everything appears to be in order...

Re: zathura - a document viewer

Here zathura with poppler plugin from the community repo works as expected. What do you have in your zathurarc, and what plugins are you using?

Hello,

zathura-cb

I wanted to quickly announce the new plugin zathura-cb which brings comic book support to zathura. You can find more information on
the website or install the development version from the AUR.

poppler-glib 0.18.4-1
zathura-pdf-poppler 0.1.1-1

Thanks for your assistance, but it seems that after another update the zathura in community is working fine again.  I wish I could reproduce it to share.  Phase of the moon bug?

Re: zathura - a document viewer

reddevil_vengara: Probably you have some outdated plugins (the 'plugin_abi_version' function was introduced not long time ago). Updating them should rid you of those warnings.

Edit: I confirm that this is not an issue with the git versions. The updated plugins are not in community, though, while zathura 0.1.2 is.

Re: zathura - a document viewer

I've just noticed that the latest zathura (v0.1.2-1) yields the following message and bails out whenever I try to open any pdf or ps (other filetypes untested):

zathura: symbol lookup error: zathura: undefined symbol: girara_set_debug_level

I can confirm that downgrading to 0.1.1-4 makes zathura work again.

Can anyone reproduce this or do you need me to pastebin an strace?

Re: zathura - a document viewer

This is almost certainly due to the same issue, i.e. that zathura 0.1.2 looks for symbols defined in newer versions of the plugins than those present in [community].
To get rid of those messages you can downgrade zathura (as you noted) or install the plugins from git.

Re: zathura - a document viewer

Thanks for this software.

Two annoying things:
- zathura 0.1.2-1 & zathura-pdf-poppler 0.1.1-1 works on x86_64 (shows pdf documents) but not on i686 (shows nothing, only black)
- broken bash completion (no completion for folders and some other things)

Hi mlq,

as of zathura 0.1.2-1 & zathura-pdf-poppler 0.1.1-1:

bug#0000158: Remember last page does not work with close button

still exists. Please look into it. Thanks!

I discovered the same issue (i686)
