Problem with cdroms and kernel 2.6test10

I've just upgraded the kernel, and I'm having some trouble with my CDs. When I boot up, my external CD writer, and my internal CD reader get recognized, and the modules are loaded. But when I go to /dev, I cant find them. Maybe I missed something when I configured the kernel?, Or is it a bug?, someone knows what should I compile in the kernel to get it working?

Nop, that's the problem, /dev/cdroms does not exist: Even though I have the modules loaded.

I think it's better to write in english in this forum.

I activated devfs.
By the way, I fixed it, don't know how, but I took away almost everything I didn't need in the config, recompiled and it worked.
