[solved]advice - audio over lan

hi, i think its possible, but i havent got a clue where to start...... I want to output the audio from my laptop to my lan instead of through my laptops speakers so my media centre (also running arch) can play it over a decent sound system.

the idea is to be playing with mixxx on my laptop, with the audio going to my server. idea or some direction would be great

Pulseaudio should be able to do this. See here for an explanation (very short and simplistic Ubuntu based explanation, but you get the main idea).

in fact, no.... it does work, but the delay on the network is no use thanks anyway
