Volume goes off around 30%

Hello,

I have a problem with the volume on my Arch setup, whenever I bump the volume down to about 30ish%, the volume goes off, this is expected at 0%. I am using Pulseaudio, and pavucontrol, it makes switching cards on the fly possible, since with alsamixer, this seems impossible.
Is there a way to avoid that annoying behavior, I genrally listen to music with my headphones and 30% of the volume is sometimes too loud, and when I use my speakers, well, let's just say that I wake up the whole neighborhood.
