World of Warcraft Wine issues

I have install 1.5.1 version of wine and Installed a working copy of WOW on my windows partition.  I copied the WoW folder to my .wine directory and run it with:

wine wow.exe -opengl

I get an error that says wow needs direct x installed to run.

Other posts ive seen say that it works fine for them out of the box, so I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

First time using wine to run anything.

Perhaps try setting opengl in the config file as indicated here.
