Black Screen after booting from live disc

Okay, so I tried to boot from the latest archlinux install disc (i burnt it at the slowest speed and i verified the burn), and after a little bit of running through the start-up processes, i get stuck at a black screen.

Here is a picture of the last screen i get before the screen goes (and stays) black:

---something to note: my laptop is less than 3 months old. It's a hp pavilion dm4 with an intel 2nd gen i5

What video card does your computer have? I've run into similar issues with nouveau on some of my systems. You might want to investigate deactivating video card modules from the boot command line.

Okay, I figured it out. I used the command: i915.modeset=0 and everything loaded perfectly.
